The Food + Wine Festival in Denver, CO, is the place to be this summer! Taking place from September 6th through September 10th, each day will feature a different event for guests to enjoy! All guests over the age of 21 are invited to take part in the celebrations of the festival, just be ready to eat and drink to your heart's desire!
Kicking off the Food + Wine Festival Tuesday, September 6th will be the newest addition. The Yoga + Bubbles Industry Appreciation Party is a special industry occasion during which they take care of the restaurant and food service staff who serve Denver customers. There will be a restorative yoga session, bubbles, and small snacks as well as industry-related information sharing!
On Wednesday, September 7th, Dinner Under the Stars will be the star of the night. This benefit provides mental health support in the sector by providing a five-course, al fresco meal at the Ninth Street Historic Park on the Auraria Campus in Denver, with wine pairings and a live auction of culinary experiences. This event benefits Since its inception in 2020, the Colorado Restaurant Foundation's Angel Relief Fund has disbursed $4 million in grants to restaurants and their workers through the food service and hospitality staff assistance program.
On Thursday, September 8th, you can join Riedel & Denver Food + Wine Festival for an educational and entertaining program that will change your wine life forever! Shelley Sale, the sommelier for Pfizer Vertical Fortnightly, will teach guests how the shape of a wine glass influences our perception and appreciation of the wine within this fantastic and instructive wine tasting. Attend this fascinating session to see how the shape of a wine glass affects each distinct varietal and how stemware translates and delivers the bouquet, taste, balance, and finish of a wine to the senses. You will receive your own four 4-glass Riedel kit with one glass for each varietal as part of the seminar.
Also new to the Denver Food + Wine Festival in 2022, the Shake + Brake Showdown will take place on Friday, September 9th. The Great American Cocktail Competition is a food-truck-based party that lets you vote on your favorite truck and cocktail while listening to live music, playing lawn games, and more!
On Saturday, September 11th, the Denver Food + Wine Festival will finish out with a Grand Tasting! The DF+WF Grand Tasting is a dining and drink extravaganza featuring some of Colorado's top chefs, mixologists, and wine experts who will share bites and sips from the state's vibrant food-and-beverage sector. More than 40 top local restaurants and more than 700 drink options from Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits' portfolio, poured by their team of experts, will be on hand for The Grand Tasting. A VIP Lounge with bespoke wines chosen by Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits Master Sommeliers tastes from 10 prominent restaurants, live music, and so much more! This will be the event of the season.
